About us

The transition from home to school is an important time in a child’s (and their parents’) life. At the Lantern Preschool we understand the importance of this change, and aim to help you and your child to make that transition by providing a safe and welcoming environment.

​Our staff are qualified, professional and friendly, and we are a member of the Preschool Learning Alliance. We are approved to the government standard for National Daycare.

​We will help to develop your child’s social skills and encourage independence and self-confidence in their own abilities and have some fun along the way too!

​To us, each child is an individual with their own personality and individual set of needs and strengths and in our safe, caring, and loving environment your child is encouraged to develop to their full potential.

​We also offer support to the parents too!

​The Lantern Preschool is based in the Old Village Hall, Canford Magna.

​'We promise to guide, nurture and educate your child in all their individuality as they start their journey to school and independence.'

​We take children from the age of 2 until they start school and our aim is to offer excellent early years care by helping them to learn through play in a loving Christian environment.
