Lantern Befriending Service

One-to-one companionship and support for older people living alone in our local community.

This is a free service for people over 60, living alone who have very few or no social visitors. A volunteer befriender will visit the person at home for about an hour each week or fortnight.

The Lantern Befriending Service is operating for local residents in partnership with The Harvey Practice Doctors Surgery.

A dedicated Lantern Befriending Service leaflet (which includes a referral form) is available in the Lantern Church or the Harvey Practice.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer befriender, please contact

Tony or Roz Hanson for more details on: 07518120809
