How to handle the changes of later years with hope and dignity.

We will be using short videos to help us think about the challenges of growing older with time for discussion and reflection.

Each topic will be considered in a down to earth and optimistic, positive way.

This is a Biblically based course, but equally appropriate for people of no faith.

Lantern Befriending Service

One-to-one companionship and support for older people living alone in our local community.

This is a free service for people over 60, living alone who have very few or no social visitors. A volunteer befriender will visit the person at home for about an hour each week or fortnight.

The Lantern Befriending Service is operating for local residents in partnership with The Harvey Practice Doctors Surgery.

A dedicated Lantern Befriending Service leaflet (which includes a referral form) is available in the Lantern Church or the Harvey Practice.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer befriender, please contact

Tony or Roz Hanson for more details on: 07518120809
